Center for Statecraft and Strategic Communication
Strategic communication is the purposeful use of information by states and other political actors to achieve their strategic objectives. Such communication has throughout history been a key dimension of statecraft; in today’s hyperconnected world, it is more central than ever. Communication is now fundamental to the art of governing, in domestic as well as international affairs.
CSSC forms part of the (AJI), which connects us with three research institutions in the US and the UK: the at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Washington D.C; the , Department of War Studies at King’s College London; and the at the University of Cambridge.
AJI's partner centers are united by their historical approach to the study of statecraft. The historical perspective characterizes both our research and our education.
CSSC is funded by the Axel and Margaret Ax:son Johnson Foundation for Public Benefit.
