Andreasson, Annika

Annika Andreasson conducts research in the fields of cybersecurity and cyber situation awareness. She earned her Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where she was affiliated with the Centre for Cyber Defense and Information Security (CDIS). She defended her thesis, "Cyber situation awareness and common operational pictures: Studies of the Swedish public sector," in May 2025.

Annika has a multidisciplinary academic background. In addition to the Ph.D. in HCI, she holds an M.Sc. in Computer and Systems Sciences with a specialization in Information Security, and a B.A. in English Literature, both from Stockholm University. Her studies also included exchange programs at the University of Sheffield, UK, and Università degli Studi di Padova, Italy.

Beyond her academic pursuits, Annika has practical experience as a consultant, advising OMX30 companies and government agencies on countering cyber threats in the digital environment.
